NAPH at SBL

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSORS OF HEBREW (Zev Garber, Organizer)

Dear Colleagues in Biblical Hebrew Pedagogy,
We are looking forward to your papers that will stimulate excellence in teaching Biblical Hebrew, to be presented in the NAPH sessions of the November 2026 SBL meeting in Denver.
We invite proposals for presentations that model practical examples of "Innovative Practices in Biblical Hebrew Pedagogy," in either of these categories:
(A) "Assessment Strategies for the Biblical Hebrew Classroom," or
(B) "Teaching Biblical Hebrew in the Digital Age." Papers for the "Digital Age" session may focus on any of these areas:
(B.1) Instructing students in use of digital tools for language learning and/or Hebrew Bible research,
(B.2) Engaging with AI for teaching/learning, or
(B.3) Gamification, aided by AI and/or other digital tools.
To submit your abstract, click the “Propose a Paper” button at this direct link.  Please keep in mind that the cutoff for proposals is March 4.
You may be in touch with either of us if you have questions, and we look forward to seeing you in Denver.
Yours truly,
Paul Overland (poverlan@ashland.edu)
